Terrain intelligence and CAD-ready outputs for engineering teams

From topographic modeling and contour generation to point clouds and breaklines, Skye Link focuses on deliverables that support design, planning, grading, and project coordination - not just raw data collection.

We manage scoping, field execution, and processing so your engineering team receives quality-reviewed, project-ready outputs without coordinating individual pilots or vendors.

Accuracy & survey note: Skye Link provides aerial data collection and mapping deliverables. When your project requires survey certification, boundary determination, or stamped deliverables, we coordinate directly with our network of licensed professional surveyors across all 50 U.S. states — so you get certified outputs through a single partner. Skye Link is not itself a licensed surveying firm.

Drone LiDAR Mapping FAQ

Can Skye Link support survey-certified deliverables?
-
Yes. While Skye Link is not itself a licensed surveying firm, we work with a nationwide network of licensed professional surveyors across all 50 states. When your project requires a stamped survey, boundary determination, or certified deliverables, we coordinate that through our surveyor network so you get everything through a single point of contact.
What accuracy can you achieve with drone LiDAR?
+
Depending on flight altitude and sensor, we typically achieve 1-3 cm vertical accuracy with ground control points.
What's the difference between LiDAR and photogrammetry?
+
LiDAR uses laser pulses to measure distance and can penetrate vegetation to capture bare-earth terrain, while photogrammetry builds 3D models from overlapping photos and works best on open, unobstructed surfaces.
What deliverables do you produce?
+
Common deliverables include point clouds, DEMs/DTMs, contour maps, orthomosaics, and CAD-ready survey exports.
Can you map linear corridors?
+
Yes, we regularly map roads, pipelines, transmission corridors, and rail lines using efficient corridor flight patterns.
